Are You Pregnant? Contact Us Waiting To Adopt?

Where Do I Start?

Start by calling us today to start the process

  • Contact us 24/7 by calling (888) 923-2229
  • An adoption coordinator is available to answer your questions immediately and/or to give you an overview of what our agency can do for you.
  • An adoption coordinator will be assigned to you to talk to you about your placement decision. She will begin the intake process so we can determine how we can help you. There are many choices in adoption today. The adoption coordinator will give you those choices and THEN YOU TELL US HOW YOU WANT THINGS TO WORK. Complete the questionnaire on the Contact Us page to get started.

Develop An Adoption Plan

  • You may help choose the adoptive parents if you would like to or you can have the agency choose. The adoption coordinator can set up a time so that you may talk to the adoptive parents by phone or in person with the adoption coordinator present-you will not be alone. The adoptive parents that we present you with have all had a home study and have been thoroughly screened.
  • Your adoption coordinator will be with you throughout the entire process. She will help you arrange medical care and insurance for your pregnancy if needed. She will be your link to the adoptive parents. The coordinator will be a support to you and can arrange for more formal counseling if you are open to it. The adoption coordinator will be available to you 24/7 for whatever needs you have.

During the birth

  • When you go into labor, make sure your adoption coordinator knows. She will contact the adoptive parents and let them know. Your adoption coordinator will be available to you throughout your labor and delivery and in some cases can be there with you when you deliver if you want her to be.
  • While you are at the hospital you have some more choices. You can choose to keep your baby in your room with you or you can choose to have the baby spend some time or all of his/her hospital stay with the adoptive parents.

After the birth

  • After you have had some time to recover from the delivery your adoption coordinator will assist you in finishing up with the paperwork that is needed to move forward the adoption.
  • Once you go home from the hospital your adoption coordinator will keep in close contact with you to make sure you are doing okay. She can get updates on how the baby is doing for you.
  • Your adoption coordinator can stay in touch with you for as long as you need. We have many birth mothers that continue to call us years after they have placed a child through our agency. This process is very emotional and it is not unusual for lasting friendships with your adoption coordinator to be formed.

Our birth mothers say that we “became like a loving family” to them during this process.

Post-Placement Services

  • Adoptions Unlimited Inc. will continue to pass along pictures and updates that the adoptive family sends in for you per the agreement you and the adoptive parents have made.
